Priti Patel and Valerie Vaz : First Indian Women in House of Commons UK









Valerie Vaz and Priti Patel becomes first Indian women to have their presence in UK's House of Commons.Priti Patel(conservative Party) won from Tory constituencey and Valerie Vaz(Labour Party) won from Walsall South.

There are other Indians also, who found place in UK's House of Commons.Its a proud moment for Indian diaspora, though a trend has been seen that Indians win from constituencies which are more populous of Indians.Keith ,brother of Valerie Vaz also won the election from Leicester East. It is first time in history of UK after 1950 that siblings will represent House of Commons.
